This Privacy Policy explains how Qaraji ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Qaraji mobile application, the Qaraji web app at qaraji.com/app, Qaraji Garage and the qaraji.com website (together, the "Service").
Information we collect
- Account information: your phone number, email address, name, and profile photo when you register.
- Business verification documents: trade licenses and related documents, if you register a business account. These are used solely for verification and are not shared publicly.
- Content you share: posts, photos, comments, part requests, and messages you send through the app.
- Vehicle data: vehicles, fuel records, expenses, service records, and documents you add to My Motors. This data is private to your account.
- Location data: approximate or precise location when you use location features (such as Nearby services or setting a post location), only with your permission.
- Device and usage data: device identifiers, app version, and diagnostic information used to operate and improve the Service.
- Contact form: the name, email, optional phone and company, and message you send us, plus a one-way hash of your IP address used only to prevent abuse.
How we use your information
- To provide the marketplace, messaging, calling, and vehicle-management features.
- To verify business accounts and keep the marketplace trustworthy.
- To moderate uploaded content for safety using automated tools.
- To send notifications you have enabled (such as replies, messages, and maintenance reminders).
- To answer messages you send through the contact form.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Data storage and third parties
Your data is stored with Supabase (database, authentication and file storage) and the website and web app are served by Vercel. We use Google Firebase only to deliver push notifications, and Google Cloud Vision for automated content moderation. We do not sell your personal information.
Messages and calls
Direct messages are accessible only to the participants of a conversation. Voice and video calls are established peer-to-peer where possible; call metadata (such as duration and participants) is stored to provide call history.
Data retention and deletion
We retain your data while your account is active. You can delete your account in the app, or request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at hello@qaraji.com.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page.
